10-Minute Presentation at BNSL: Michaela Forty of Family Care Advice

This week at Business Networking South Leicestershire (BNSL), we enjoyed a brilliant, warm-spirited and entertaining 10-minute presentation from Michaela Forty, founder of Family Care Advice.

Michaela has been a member for many years, and instead of the usual presentation, she decided to test the group with a quiz based on her past pitches — to see who had really been paying attention!

There were 11 questions in total, not all of them entirely serious, and plenty of laughs along the way. A playful, engaging and memorable way to recap the important work she does.

Michaela’s Career Journey

Michaela has more than 30 years of experience working in the care sector — experience that shapes the thoughtful, knowledgeable support she now provides to families across the UK.

Her career began as a Community Day Care Worker, supporting older adults with their daily activities and wellbeing. She then went on to work with Age UK, where she gained deeper insight into the challenges faced by older people, carers and families trying to navigate the care system.

During this time, she became a qualified Advanced Information and Advice Practitioner, giving her the professional expertise needed to provide authoritative, reliable and compassionate guidance to those seeking help.

What Family Care Advice Offers

Michaela specialises in helping families who need support navigating the often confusing world of social care, health services, benefits and practical care arrangements.

Her services include:

✔ Free 30-Minute Discovery Call

  • Financial assessments

  • Support planning

  • Navigating adult social care

Her calm, knowledgeable support cuts through the confusion.

  • And other key benefits

For many families, this help is a lifeline.

Thank You, Michaela

This was a wonderful presentation — fun, informative and a perfect reminder of the important support Michaela provides to families navigating care challenges.

If you or someone you know needs guidance, practical help or reassurance around care for an older relative, Michaela is the ideal person to speak to.
